Stephen J. Kane III of Marshfield, MA, beloved husband of Linda Kane, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 13, 2021, surrounded by family. Born November 12, 1950 in Troy, NY, Stephen was the eldest son of the late Julia and Stephen J. Kane II. He married the love of his life, Linda Donovan Kane on June 16, 1973. He was a graduate of Boston College Class of 1972 and earned his DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School in 1976.

Stephen committed his life to serving others. He was passionate about his career and built a successful dental practice in Marshfield, caring for patients across the South Shore for more than forty years. He devoted his life to learning and for more than twenty years dedicated time teaching at Boston University Dental School. He gave others the gift of a second chance at life serving as past Chairman of Caron New England Advisory Board and past Board Member of Caron. He also inspired change and empowered others as Co-Founder and Managing Director of Cook Family Learning and Board Member of Cook Family Charitable Fund, Inc. Through his generous spirit and endless optimism, Stephen imparted courage, gratitude and serenity to those around him.

Stephen is survived by his two children, Caroline (Peter) Laub of Chicago, and Matthew (Ulrike) Kane of Marshfield, his six siblings Patricia, Joyce, Mary Jean, Timothy, Brian and Kevin. He also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Amalie and Hanno Kane. Stephen is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
